Overview

MGI Tech Co., Ltd. and its affiliates have announced a collaboration with SeqOne, a leader in AI-driven genomic decision support software. This partnership is focused on creating and validating comprehensive genomic analysis solutions designed specifically for Human Genetics and Pathology laboratories globally.

The collaboration will focus on three primary projects:

  • Validation of an Automated HRD Testing Solution: This project will include a joint effort with Agilent Technologies and a Pathology Reference Lab in Spain to validate a cost-effective, automated workflow. 

This workflow will utilize Agilent panels, Magnis library preparation automation, MGI’s DNBSEQ-G99 sequencing platform, and SeqOne’s validated HRD signature solution on 96 samples. 

The goal is to provide a high-quality, efficient, and adaptable solution for HRD testing, including genomic instability scores and BRCA testing.

  • Integration of SeqOne’s Analysis Platform with MGI’s MegaBOLT: The collaboration will work on ensuring that SeqOne’s tertiary analysis platform is compatible with MGI’s MegaBOLT, a bioinformatics analysis accelerator developed by MGI. 

This integration aims to offer a seamless, cost-effective, and intuitive solution from sample collection to final reporting, particularly suited for high-throughput Human Genetics labs.

  • Validation of SeqOne’s CE-IVD Platform for Clinical Use: This initiative will evaluate the compatibility of SeqOne’s CE-IVD Platform with MGI sequencers, focusing on variant calling performance with a set of reference control samples in terms of quality control, sensitivity, and precision.
