Rafarma Pharmaceutical Discloses Recent Partnerships With Kelun Lifesciences Pvt Ltd in Sri Lanka and El Salvador University

Rafarma Pharmaceuticals is excited to announce a preliminary agreement with Kelun Lifesciences (Pvt) Ltd, a pharmaceutical company based in Sri Lanka, signed on November 17, 2023. Kelun Lifesciences is Sri Lanka's exclusive pharmaceutical manufacturing facility for sterile liquid injections and infusions, located in Kandy.

In this groundbreaking agreement, the intention of collaboration in the international pharmaceutical business between Rafarma and Kelun Lifesciences is solidified. Represented by its CEO, Dr. Gyan Prakash Ujalayan, Kelun Lifesciences is a subsidiary of the Chinese Kelun Group, established in Sri Lanka in collaboration with Indian partners.

The partnership entails joint development and launch of medicines on global markets, establishing a production center for synthesizing medicines, and production of five crucial pharmaceutical ingredients developed by Rafarma. Additionally, it includes the production of radio-pharmaceuticals outlined in Rafarma's 2023-2028 release strategy, along with investments and promotion in international markets through participation in esteemed exhibitions and conferences.

Furthermore, Rafarma Pharmaceuticals is pleased to announce a preliminary agreement with the Alberto Masferrer University of El Salvador. This agreement aims to foster joint research, pharmacological development, and implementation of medicines and medical technologies for national and international health.

The collaboration includes the creation of an experimental production center for synthesizing specific drugs, radiopharmaceuticals, and medical devices. Rafarma Pharmaceuticals will invest in the project, promote it internationally through media and participation in exhibitions, and outline the University of El Salvador's responsibilities in conducting research and providing a clinical base for implementing proposed products and technologies.

The primary focus of cooperation is to explore the introduction of cancer treatment technologies, CART therapy, and innovative smart packaging for drug and device distribution in the healthcare systems of the Republic of El Salvador and other Central American countries.
